So. . .

I can't do it everyday. I can't believe anyone even read that last post? Haven't you guys given up? That was only meant to be taking the first step to get the ball rolling, etc, etc, not actually up for you to read.

Anyway. . .

What has been happening. . .

Oh, yes, I've been changing diapers and doing laundry at an alarming rate given the stomach bug of both my little girls. Aleka started a week ago on Monday and was pretty much over it by Sunday, but by Thursday Halía had joined in the fun. She seemed ok by yesterday but then today started screaming in pain for over an hour about her ear hurting. Highly unusual so I took her to the doctor who couldn't see anything. Are you kidding? Screaming, crying my poor little girl. But, alas, when we got back home she did just crawl straight into bed, so perhaps sheer exhaustion accounted for more of the tears than the pain.... who knows, but at least she has some drugs now.

Which brings me to the joys of the Spanish health care. Cheap drugs. Plus I called the doctors office at 4.45 and was back home by 6.00 with my prescription filled. That is freakin impressive. Factoring in 30 mins of driving time too. They just gave her ibuprofen, and I have a massive bottle of it, of which I'll probably use 10ml and it set me back 1.25 (euro). I always flash on London Drugs dispensing fee. Do they still have that? Isn't that like $10 right there? I'd love to stock up on something before heading back to Vancouver, but we don't actually use that many meds around here. Bummer. Send in your orders.

See, this is what you are going to get, when I decide to write something 10 mins before bed. Boring crap. So suffer through it and maybe one day something interesting will arrive on this site.

Off to bed. Last night Aleka didn't get to sleep until 11pm. Don't know what happened there. First time ever. Probably because her dad was out and she knew I was trying to watch a chick flick and eat popcorn. And then she woke at 5.30 am. I freely admit that there was a lot of swearing between 5.30 and 6.30 - which oddly totally failed to induce her to get back to sleep in her bed. My arms sure. Bed no. OK, I'm boring myself now and actually have a good book to go read.
