Things to know about Halía

1) She has less hair now than when she is born. It is all dark and quite short; which is great, because after a bath you can make it all spikey. We don't see any signs of blond, even though Jan and I both were.

2) She loves reading and is very happy hanging out by herself every morning with a book from her Great Aunt Sue. The ritual is after looking at the book, she then hangs out in her swing. She has a thing for the green whale.

3) She has a party every morning when she wakes up. A big smile and lots of chatting. She does laugh, but we don't know at what. So far it doesn't seem to be at us.

4) She can go to sleep all by herself. Apart from 2 or 3 times, since we have come back from Canada she has had no problems going for any of her naps. She now gets wrapped up and laid straight down. Then after one or two minutes of fussing (literally) she is quiet and eventually falls asleep. If you are lucky, she gives you a quick smile right before she does.

5) She feels safe and cozy with her dad. Doesn't matter how she was feeling when he picks her up, in a few minutes she is comfortably asleep.

6) Oh, and she can almost get her whole hand in her mouth.
